05 DB9 Nav not working.
Discussion
Hi I am after some advice please.
My Nav screen is not popping up after reading all the info I have checked and done the following.
The DVD drive in the boot is spinning up OK.
I have replaced the gear in the screen as it was knackered.
Before I replaced the gear you could lift the screen by hand but nothing was displayed and the motor would run to try and lower it.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks again Crispy
Ps It has never popped up since I bought the car

Quick couple of questions first.
I guess that the rest of the infotainment system works OK? If it is then a problem with the fibre optic MOST can be, almost certainly, be dismissed. If the MOST shuts down the screen goes blank.
The raise and lower control is a software command from the centre stack, rather than a voltage on/off like an electric aerial. If there is power at the wiring going to the motor, then it may well be there is no command from the centre stack module when you press the back button. There is a matrix of thin wires at the back of the centre stack which could be damaged if that's been removed at some point with a heavy hand. Fuse 43 at the CEM supplies the Multi Media display (SAT NAV).
I hope may be of some help.

Thanks James. Just one more question is the back button solely used to raise the screen , or can I check its functionality on another system.
