See my thread in readers cars, I have a Shadow 1 with poorly engine, bought a replacement engine which is also scrap...most rusty Shad 1's are now gone, if one happened to be languishing locally that would be a purchase target!

I spoke to him when I bought the car, asked him if he wanted to fit the replacement engine for me, not bothered, job too big.I might give him a call, as you say, he might know of a near death Shadow I could use as a spares car.
