I went to Lille in France late last year with some mates for a weekend, and justified the trip by bringing back loads of booze from Majestic in Calais. Having pretty much run out now, we're thinking of going back again. Frustratingly, we didn't know before that Majestic will even pay for your crossing if you commit to spending a certain amount of money (£300 from memory)!

Any tips on where else to go in Calais, or further afield to get the best buys? Any local vineyards around the area that would be worth a trip?

Hadn't heard of the free Eurotunnel offer before but it looks like a pretty good deal based on a quick skim read!

Definitely, that's where we went but annoyingly didn't see the offer before we'd already booked our Eurotunnel. Will be making the most of it this year! I'm no wine connoisseur but amongst everything else I bought I picked up a case of red called Silver Ghost at £2 a bottle. It was divine!

Ferry the Cherbourg, drive to st Vaast and find Gosselin's shop.

More wine than you can shake a stick at. Then stop in C'bourg for the cheapo stuff.

That place looks fantastic, if I'd seen it earlier I'd have booked different crossing times for my trips to Spa this summer, it'll be closed at the times I'll be going past.
