Installing some new cables last night and my LH shifter seems to have failed internally at the point where the brake cable head is retained ... the net result is that the shifter is unable to tension the cable and shift the front mech. mad

Have ordered a new shifter in the meantime but has anyone had any success with Shimano warranty replacements? I've had the bike 2 years to the week, so going to call the dealer to see what they can do.

DA is warrantied for 3 years, so timewise you're OK.

Thanks for that ... well spotted. I saw that page last night and still didn't see the 3 yr bit ... only 2 years was absorbed.read

Will get onto it today before it turns into an expensive paperweight.smile
