Hi, in a few months I will be selling my home and buying somewhere smaller. I will be keeping my Audi A6 3.0 tdi estate and looking for a 911 between £20 and £30K. I like the one in the advert, i prefer the bigger porsche cup spoiler but this one is still very nice. About 6 years ago i had a cerbera so the sports exhaust will be ideal as i miss the pops and farts.
Also what problems should i look for on a car of this age

Not wishing to sound rude but IMO that spoiler does not look great. I would get a genuine one. looks a bit aftermarket. But each to their own.

That's an understatement - it looks comically ridiculous. But at least it can be removed. Porsche's shouldn't have spoilers and addendum unless they really need them.

For your budget, I would prefer a Gen 2 Cayman, but if it has to be a 911, then others on here will advise, I'm sure.

As above, that spoiler is a bit Halfords. Why not look for one with a factory bodykit/spoiler? Or even a ducktail which in my opinion are beautiful and finish any 911 off nicely?

Oh dear- did the number plate come with the rear spoiler?

Other than that hideous plank on the back it looks clean, but the plank would make me question the owner - get a proper inspection and read up on IMS and bore scoring

It's not exactly cheap for a lottery ticket.

One problem I tend to note with cars that have "additions" is that they are often not looked after very well.

Also at that mileage I would expect to need to budget quite a bit of ££ annually for maintenance and repairs, moreso if the previous owner tended to skimp.

I just wouldn't. Lots of cars out there for close to £30k.

I'd second this advice. 911v aren't the cheapest, but they've been around a long time and built up an excellent reputation.

Oh, and I'd run a mile from the car in the advert. The aftermarket appendage would put me right off - who knows what other dodgy modifications may have been made?

Non OEM sport exhaust (by the looks of it) plus big rear wing... hm. Wonder how its been driven in the past. Probably good to get a good inspection incl engine over rev report and leak down test if you are serious.

Aah i thought it was a gt3 spoiler but on reading it properly it is a gt3 style spoiler

It has just had a hartech rebuild and it comes with a 24 month hartech warranty. Its manual and its in a lovely colour with perfectly acceptable grey leather interior.

Honestly mate, this is the best bang for your budget if you are looking to spend £30k on a 997.

If you don't buy this, someone else will!
