Yes, I know it, it was mine from 2014 until I sold it to the current owner several weeks ago. It was I that repaired it and re-painted it in the current colour. It was Cat D twice, originally with a small dash fire in 2011 and a light front/rear accident in 2013, after which it stood unrepaired until I purchased it in 2014.
I sold it several weeks ago with several small jobs remaining and the new owner looks to have completed these and is now moving it on for a small profit.

Depends what if any jobs need doing to it - this one or the 19k one. Still don't know why the green one at Mads hasn't sold.
No, sadly neither do I ;-). IMO the Tamora is the nicest driving car TVR made and they are so cheap compared to other similar spec/age/mileage Tuscans/T350s and spec/mileage Griffiths and now even Chimaeras. I think people will cotton on to this and so I think Tamora prices will jump up......

Hi Englishman,
Thanks for the positive words. TVR only did Bison in late 2001/2002 (they quickly realised how poor wearing it was) and then reverted back to Ambla (which is hard wearing). The magnolia is ambla, but the green seat inserts are leather. The green dash is ambla.
(Don't mean to hi-jack the orange Tamora thread.)

Well I went to view this car the other day and have to say I was sadly disappointed
It's the first tamora that I've viewed and I'm hoping not every tamora has similar issues as for an originally £36k car that would be unacceptable.
-spray job was very poor, patchy in parts which stands out even more being pearl orange.
-windscreen rubber and sealant looked like it had been put on by a blind man
-seals around windows and lights looks awful.
-interior was very tacky. Lots of bits didn't seem to fit properly, drivers seat alcantara seemed a different colour from bottom section to back section. Badly scratched seat backs. Scratched door panel metal strips. Steering column surround not fitting properly, headunit doesn't fit in, passenger seatbelt doesn't pull out/go back in, leather panels worn.
-roof panel had scratches in the material.
-general scratches on paintwork around bonnet edges, boot edges, inside door sections.
The chassis seemed to be all ok and I was told with supporting service stamps that engine is good.
One worrying bit was that when the seller turned the engine on he must have waiting a whole 2 mins before Reving it to show me the noise. Then we went for a drive where he didn't thrash it but gave it some. On our return the exhaust were still smoking a little white.
I've read a lot on here about the importance of the warm up routine to the above worried me a little.
It's a shame as the colour on the tamora looks amazing and from far away the car looks stunning.
I just don't think I could own such an in your face car with so many imperfections. I would feel great driving it around but embarrassed if any one got close to it.
Overall it seemed a great deal but I've added a couple of thousand for paint work bits and a couple more for interior bits and littles bits and pieces, your now into non cat tamoras price.
Is it worth the investment or run a mile?

Run! The owners' version of 'excellent condition' certainly isn't mine!
I think that the only leeway you should give regarding bodywork is the front. It is very low so stone chips are inevitable. Some give their cars a front end re spray once every two or three years because of this.
Although the owner says it is a 13 year old car, for such a low volume specialist car, that should be no excuse for excessive wear - many owners address problems as and when they occur, regardless of cost, most of the time. Worse, he thraped the car when the engine was still cold, a massive no-no for any car, especially the S6 TVR's.
I would think that, to bring it up to spec, and assuming the engine may require a rebuild at some point in the near future, you're looking at a re-spay, re-trim and engine work - that would be the cost price of the car again, at least. (I know this because I bought mine for £16k, and have spent another £20k+ to bring it up to spec - but I knew this when I bought it..)

Fit and finish on TVRs was not Porsche quality - some owners tend dealt with things as they have bits out. What you describe is not uncommom.
TVR didn't get seat belat retraction right in the Wedge and nothing changed up to the Sag. Wiping the belts with furniture polish helps but the fit and arrangement is the issue. There is a very easy fix that works on the S cars but it doesn't work on the T cars - I#ve tried.
Warm up is important but less so (and I mean this in a very loose way) if the car has had a proper rebuild with the correct quality parts.
I'd say go an see the green one at MADs. If Str8six were selling it it would be £30k and would be gone by the weekend.

On the basis of your description no, you will spend a fortune making it look perfect. If you want to look at a good one & have a chat about Tamora's and what to look for, I am happy to show you mine. I live close to MK in the Beds area. Sadly not for sale though.

Why is he selling, so soon after buying ?
Cos he bought it to make a quick profit..Ron L had it up for a very good price with all the history stated and i was 20 mins to late in getting to him to buy it myself to do the same thing. It did need some work to finish off what he had started and i'm sure a paint detailer could get the fresh paint looking good.
The new owner hasn't done all the work to finish it off as such I think the price is too high for not finishing off all the jobs.
Hi OP, I would take the offer of looking at a good car as a benchmark of what to expect. The drawback is that the best cars are rarely for sale or if they are at dealers, they are priced accordingly!
Also, not sure what you car history is but I have had several older cars and the Tamora felt a bit modern for my weekend toy. Very good to drive but ended up getting another Chimaera. A lot more choice there as well.

Now re-listed - without mention of the previous accident damage!
