Hello Andrew
To remove the bearing, (I assume you are changing a Bush to a bearing??) you need to find a length of solid bar. Turn the end down (or find the correct size to start with) so that it is a sliding fit through the holw with no play (similar fit to the one you would get when using a clutch alignment tool)

The pack the space behind the bush with heavy grease with as much as you can. You should then be able to tap the rod through the bush and compress the grease which will exert hydraulic pressure to force the bush out of is hole

The other way is to carefully centre punch and drill along the bearing in 2 places to allow you to break it with a cold chisel. Only use this as a last resort however, since cranks do not like being hammered that much.

If you are struggling ewith size of bar, you can use electricians tape to take up clearance.

Neil.
