Cerbera Cabin Heater
Discussion
Hi Chaps
I like driving my car but as most of you know it is hot in summer and cold in the winter, this is worse as it is a late model with the seperate hot and cold feeds
.
I have replaced the Aircon condensor and now the aircon works (so hopefully Summer is taken care of)
I am in the process of putting a closing vent of the cold feed to help reduce lots of cold air at speed and will be mixing the hot & cold feeds.
I want to have better heating, I was thinking of this unit http://www.t7design.co.uk/index.php/heating/heater... can any of you tell me the dimensions of what is already in place or a manufacture part number etc of it.
Cheers
/Jay

I have a 1996 car and it has a rigid tubing section in the passenger footwell with a solenoid operated flap to isolate the heater box.
TVR Parts list this as the heater http://tvr-parts.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tvr-p0... however the one in my car is totally different (typical TVR). If you're looking to upgrade the heater I think the best way to do it would be to get the hot box out first and see what size aftermarket heater can be adapted to fit it so you can still use bits of the standard TVR heater box to channel hot air from the aftermarket heater's many outlets down to the one 3" outlet that enters the car from the passenger front wing.

Lucky you lot with heating as mine does not work and it is freezing with the constant stream of cold air going to my feet and up to the windscreen. You can always open the window whilst blasting along- no chance of that at the moment as I would freeze stiff! Good at keeping the other half out of these car though!

I too have a late car and i have no problem with the heating if anything its too hot as even in the summer you can't actually turn it off. Its constantly on and always heat coming out of the windscreen vents.
Here's the crude solution I adopted as suggested by a fellow PHer - Earplugs! However, you have to be ready to remove them in an instant if it starts raining...Well I've just been battling an odd problem, the cooling circuit works fine but the heater remains cold. I've taken everything apart and flushed the pipes through, checked the heater matrix, and checked the thermostat operation and all is fine. I put it all back together and the heater gets hot again so it might have been an airlock. What I have noticed is that my heater doesn't get hot until the thermostat opens, I presume because the bypass pipe has less resistance to flow than the heater matrix. I wonder if a small electrical pump placed in the heater hose lines to boost the flow is a good idea?
