Hi Steve,
Can you tell us anything about this? :

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/94685/exclus...

Isn't that in your neck of the woods?

They could have made an announcement on the 1st March, which was St. David's Day, instead of letting the story leek out like this......

There still seems to be some debate if it is in Wales yet...just a site with a track near-by and a choice of 3 locations.....mmmm Hethel would be handy.. wink

wavey Hello peeps, yes it looks as though TVR is coming here along with Aston Martin. Last year I went to Neil Garners open day and had a long chat with Les Edgar, I mentioned the empty super hangar, of course it`s on a secure site with access to taxiways. There is a track 3 miles away and the Ford engine plant in Bridgend is 9 miles away. Of course the new TIV is powered by a Ford Coyote engine. Les was very interested in this info, so maybe it`s coincidence or he took on board what I said. My C/V will go in for sure if production starts here bounce I`ll even turn up for an interview in a TVR biggrin Of course if I hear anything of interest I`ll post on here.

Thanks Steve thumbup

It's comforting to know that L.E. is listening to us S owners, even those with leanings to the Dark Side wink

If/when you submit your CV, don't forget to include your Calais Hotel car park photo showing your total commitment to the TVR brand. He'll know immediately from that that you are 100% behind it. wink

Meanwhile, will somebody please think about the sheep? .....

Hello girls wink

I think the new logo will be stylised letters "TFR" superimposed on a dragon rouge passant with crossed leeks.

only 3 places in the UK to make fibre glass cars:

Norfolk, where the fibre glass, chassis, engine tuning etc skills are
Midlands, where the mechanical bits are made if not just imported
Wales, where the sheep are cheap and plentiful?

Andy,
I'm afraid that if it comes down to a choice between ( high class, not cheap ) sheep or swedes and turnips, there's no contest. Unless you're Baldrick.

However, Swedes would be a different matter altogether. wink

Baaaah baaaah baaaah.

Truthfully the Wales move is possibly a wise one. It's one of the cheapest places to employ people in the UK. this can only help prices of the finished article.

PS my brakes on TGTVR failed but still managed a good few miles with only a few teeth marks in the wheel👍

No 'twas Steve j with the upside down calipers, he may post the picture again soon! I've ribbed him a few times. He does make good trim bits though so could get a place in the "shiny bling interior department"

Yep still around and up your way regularly at the mo with my son at Cardiff Met Uni. Looking forward to Washington, but got to get the downsizing move to Bristol done first, all go!

When I come back from states may have to buy one of the new TVRs with my tax free status, they should be well into manufacture by then bouncebounce

Hope the DC goes well for you mate, I`m not jealous yes, just wish I could have gone stateside. I wonder if you`ll go with grey funnel or by a more reliable form of transport wink. Save your money mate maybe a tax free deal can be done hehe and if i get a job with TVR maybe even try some kinda discount for those that serve this fine nation of ours vomit Maybe they`ll employ me in the braking department eek
