Hi, have noticed several mentions of Rovergauge which I assume is some form of diagnostic tool. Could someone explain to me where I can get it , how to operate and what I need. Apologies very new to Tvr's cheers Keith

It basically shows you information live from the computer and sensors as well as any fault codes. From there you can analyse and maybe diagnose a problem. I think it's self explanatory on how it works but if you need information search for "Rovergauge" on pistonheads search

I'm sure Blitzracing will pick this post up soon, he'll be able to give you the full info on Rovergauge and supply the lead you need to connect laptop to Lucas 14CUX ECU (that is assuming you're still running the original system).

As an overview you need a laptop (preferably) running windows to run Rovergauge on. It communicates with the ECU with a 6 ft USB cable that plugs into the diagnostic socket in the TVR loom near the ECU. When you connect to the ECU and run RoverGauge it will display a main screen giving loads of information on the ECU inner workings and sensors.

downloaded the software no probs , is it normally half screen size... when I go to full screen it takes the outer data off or am I being my normal self cheers Keith

That's how mine does it too. I just manually stretch the window

You need to have a bit of tech knowledge to get it working but Colin Bourassa was really helpful. I posted the steps I went through when I had figured out how to make it work on my system, this is the link

Does Rovergauge also report ault code like an OBD reader?

The 14CUX is the daddy of all OBD- OBD1, so yes you can get the error codes generated by the ECU as well as all the sensor and mapping data.
