I'm looking at getting into the T350 ownership.
There are a couple of cars at Tony Gilbert cars that take my eye, but I'm not sure about the interiors!
Firstly, does anyone have any experience of Tony Agilbert (or know the 2 T350s they got for sale?)
But what I'm wondering is how much would it cost to redo a whole interior?
I've heard you can get a seat recovered (leather) for around £600 ea (don't know if that's right) but is it even feasible to change the dash and glove compartment etc get the dash recovered? What can you do about the plastic bits, can they be coloured or will it just peal off?
Anyone done this and have any idea of costs?

Ian

My Tamora (same interior) was retrimmed by Dave The Trimmer by the previous owner, so probably 3 years or so ago. Complete carpets, seats, fascia, door trims, roof lining, console. I don't think that you would get any change from £4K, possibly more 3 years on.

But the finish of it is amazing.

Tony is extremely well respected in the TVR community. I've never bought a car from him but he was helpful when I was looking for a Cerbera last year.

I bought my T350 from Tony a few years back and he did a very fair exchange on my Griffith. I had a small issue which he allowed me to be fixed under the warranty too. I also had Dave the T do a full re-trim on the T350 and cannot speak highly enough of him as a person and the standard of his work is exceptional.

I will also say having had the re-trim done it truly made the car feel like brand new. So better by a good car knowing you can change the interior.

Thanks chaps, yep 4K is quite a chunk, but like you say if you're left with a brand new interior that would be pretty amazing.
Good to know Tony is a good chap, think I'll pop up and see him, he's got a couple of T350s, they seem to have been advertised for a while tho (August last year).
Either way worth having a chat with him.
Cheers
NB Bob, yep that interior looks brilliant!

The day I collected the T350 and p/x the Griff. Pop up and have a coffee with Tony and see the cars in the flesh.

Bought my Tuscan from Tony last October, great buying experience with no pressure. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He collected me from the nearest Station on the day. I would highly recommend him.

Hi Matthew, that's the Ladybower Dams in the Peak District, part of our "Thrills in the Hills " TVR run on May 21st. This is the view of that same bridge if you were on top of that hill in the background

If your budget will stretch pop up to STR8SIX and have a look at theirs for sale, they are like new.

Ian Cherry of car and coach trimmers in Nottingham did my Tamora a couple of years ago. I designed the interior (so don't blame him!) and I reckon he did a great job, including the detail on the roof panel.

Nice fella too.

Looks a lot like the style I did for my AMG.

However, it looks a bit too busy for me in that interior I must admit (IMHO of course!)

Great work though! biggrin
