Thats often said, but I don't see why? The non-blended in pod is still non-removable. You have to get to it from the access panel in the wheel arch.
My understanding is, the bezel is removed via hidden screws, which you get to via the access panel under the wheel arch, before removing the headlamp from the outside...I may be misinformed though, and what do I care....Ive got blended lights anyway!
Certainly my chap found he couldn't get the pods out, as TVR germany had clearly taken them out at some point, got bored, and just glued the pods back in! 
He got in the back way (ooer missus) to replace both bulbs and reflectors, and was complaining of much chafing. From the glass fibre. Ouch. I think I'll stop right here.

If your car is a pre 98, they were all bonded to the wing. I found this out when I was told I needed a total respray due to a cracked headlight lens!

So how would you change the lens if one smashed, or clean your reflectors???
Before I had the work done I looked into that. You can get to it from behind in the wheel arch, as you probably know. If needed in the future I could just cut a bigger hole and take the reflector out that way. If the lens smashed it comes out from the front and is only held in with mastic. But lets face reality here. In 17 years of driving I've never had a light smashed just from stonechips etc. The only way I can see it smashing would be if I hit something - and it would need repairing anyway on the insurance. The way she looks now I'm a lot happier with, especially compared to the way she was originally.
