Is it just me or is the sheer volume of adverts, including those that pop up and down alongside the classifieds, killing the user experience of pistonheads?
I have been a fan of the website for years now but this is as unusable as i remember.
No matter whether it is my laptop, desktop or iPad, and no matter what internet connection (even superfast broadband) the ads cause the page being viewed to skip and jump, often taking so long to load that i just quit PH altogether and take my search for a new car elsewhere.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Only on iPad, which I don't use much. The other machines have AdBlock Plus installed.

Ok, maybe i am being completely computer illiterate.
Is there a feature on PH to disable the ads or an app to get for mac that blocks them?

uBlock Origin and adBlock are browser-plugins that disable ads. Both - and others - are available for Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

Still having some trouble browsing classifieds on my iPad, despite the ad blocker. Seems that every time I view an ad then go back to the classifieds list it always resets to the top of the screen, meaning I then have to scroll and find where I was again which I realise doesnt sound too upsetting but makes the whole browsing experience a total pain in the arse!
Any tips on this one since you guys are infinitely more tech savvy than me?!

The site has become very painful to use now-a-days, especially that add that comes up above the threads when you have clicked on a new topic or sub-forum. It takes a few seconds to come up, so you have just started reading the text, when the add suddenly appears and all of the text moves down 3cm.

Why can't the gap just be left for the ad to appear so that the text doesn't move!

Same problem with the classifieds jumping around. And the jumping often delayed so you end up clicking on the wrong car.
This doesn't happen with autotrader

I don't think there are any ad blockers out there for iPad at the minute. What you do on your PC has little bearing to what you do on your iPad, the blocker isn't a site specific one, its the machine you're on.
