How to make a cocktail
Discussion
Afternoon all,
Got the ingredients for my wife's favourite cocktail - Miss Monroe from Bluebird in Chelsea - and thought I would have a crack at making it myself.
Vanilla vodka
Chambord
Raspberry sauce (couldn't find any raspberry purée, so will sieve the pips out)
Cranberry juice
Shaken over ice
My question is, what ratio should I use for each ingredient?
Anyone any experience of making cocktails?
Cheers
Jono😀

Looks like a cosmopolitan or a French martini so maybe the ratio for them would work.

Alternatively do what me and my friends do and experiment with different ratios until we're too drunk to care anymore.

Personally, I'd just experiment with the ingredients. Most cocktails go by 25ml measures or halves/multiples thereoff.
You might want to add a squeeze of lime to that lot as it seems to be a bit sweet.
Also, use lots of ice when shaking and shake until you can feel the tin go cold. Double strain using a hawthorn and fine strainer.
