heres a bit of background - I was heading back home on sunday down the A447 towards mallory park. As i came to Cadeby i saw a scamera van facing towards me (ie the lens of the camera was pointing toward the direction i was coming from).

now for the questions, the scamera van was on the verge of the other carriageway, does this mean that they are targetting cars coming from my direction, the other direction, or both?

Also i was doing just over the roads speed limit (its a 60 road and i was doing 62) am i likely to get a ticket?

also to cover another base, if i do end up getting done, what implications might this have on my insurance in terms of telling them about the points? how much is it likely to cost me on my policy?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Oliver

62mph on your car's speedo will probably equal about 57-58mph so you're driving perfectly below the speedlimit.

Not to mention the scamera vans are often set to well above the quoted speed limit.

My mate has a smart roadster coupe (with sport pack wheels) and an Origin B2. Ive just asked him to check and he reckoned an indicated 62ish says 58 on his Origin device.

So his overeads a bit so you should be fine.

Could be both...but primarily towards the camera...

They're even getting police dogs in on the action..;
