I thought it was illegal to advertise specifically for women (or men) ? Unless special circumstances dictate of course. But handing out drinks in Asda ?

The ad says you need to 'Look between 18 and 28' and enjoy Banta with customers.....and they get contracts with companies like Asda !

Intetesting one. Reminds me of a conversation I once overheard at an F1 race; bloke moaning about his lack of opportunity to be one of the 'F1 girls' who stood near the podium and provided a lineup as the drivers walked up to it. I recall that his mate said just apply and see why it is that they don't hire you!

It also doesn't take in to account those who classify themselves as Third Gender.

You could send the advert to the EHRC. They might have a word with the advertiser. This is a pretty blatant infringement of the Equality Act!

Interesting that they say "girls and women" but then say the applicants must be over 18.

The "Report" button on the left specifically mentions this as one of the posting rules; I just pressed it.
