Have you checked the Languages tab on the Garmin?

There is an extra licence fee if you've enabled Italian.

I've given up pairing my 810 to my phone. Frustratingly unreliable and seems to make the device even flakier. The only advantages are live Strava segment updates, auto-uploading of rides and Garmin live tracking. None are worth living with the bugs for though.

You end having to pair thorough connect all the time to take advantage of the features. Just manually upload everything.

Not sure about the 810 but a lot of Garmin devices make you pair through the app rather than through the standard Android settings area. Try forgetting it in settings and trying through the app.

You can adjust the number and content of the data fields for each bike stored on the device, makes it handy for racing, training etc

When resumed recording after the train ride your posistion will have jumped by 16 miles, so the Garmin would draw a straight line to connect your last recorded position up with your new one. You'll have do it as two rides: Stop and save before getting on the train, then start a new ride when you get off. Pausing will only work when you take a break but resume in the same position.

I was looking at getting the 520 but having seen the 810 today I'm considering upgrading from my 500 to this. I can get the 810 for just under £200. What's the difference between them and is it worth getting the 810?

Along with many other reasons, the simplicity of the edge 200 is why I still haven't upgraded mine!
