What frame size?

First post in this section, apologies if it has been done to death!

I'm looking to buy a road bike, probably 2nd hand. Don't want to spend too much just incase I don't get in to it!

I've checked a few tables online and apparently I need a 61cm frame. I'm just shy of 6'4". Most of my height is in my legs.

Most bikes I see for sale have around 56-58cm frames. Will I struggle on one this size?

At a shade under 6'2" I'm on the cusp between a 58 and a 60 and have both, I generally have a setback seatpost on my 58's (I have 3)and a longer stem than on my 60cm, if I was 2" taller on a 58 I'd have to have my saddle right on the end of the rails and a 140mm stem and still be thinking I wish I'd bought the 60.
There's a few regular contributors on here that are 6'4" and 6'5"

I may have a 60cm entry level bike in good nick surplus to requirements too but see you are half a country away.
