where do you buy your oil

I always use Mobile 1 0-40, but where is the best/cheapest place to buy it, last time I brought 4 x 5L for about £120. I'm not interesting in changing. Thank you.

I've always found it's best to check around when you actually want to purchase as a lot of the regular places - Halfords, ECP and more specialist places - often have special offers on, so I just dive in and buy several cans at a time.


ECP sell via e-bay but you can collect in store and it's cheaper to pay via e-bay then pick in store than go to the store and pay there.
Halfords quite often do a 20%/30%/35% off weekend.

NOt sure where you are but GSF also do regular discount weekend offers.

nrite 15w60 high zinc containt is what you want.MOBIL ONE is to thin.

I use the same but get 2x5L for £47(inc. delivery) so 4x5L would be £94 you could say thats another 5L compared to what you paid

Just can't see in the specs for it whether it has enough zinc in it to properly lubricate the RV8 cam / followers ... seems that ideally a suitable oil has a very high (for modern oils anyway) zinc content.

Qbee uses the Shell 10w60. I`m pretty sure he has done enough miles on it to confirm it has no ill effect on the cam.
