I can't afford the obvious choice...

But what would you guys (realistically), put this plate on? It'd look ace on a nice recreation biggrin

Suggestions on a postcard. And if you are thinking of selling something appropriate then feel free to PM me.

I've only just bought it. Perhaps contrary to other posts I actually do want some opinions on a good place to stick it....no pun intended!

You've bought a plate and are now deciding on which car to buy to put it on? This is a world and lifestyle that I am not familiar with! laugh

p.s. I guess it would work on a 964RS lightweight.

Ha ha....the plate jumped out at me and I kind of had to buy it smile

964RS would also work and maybe a simpler recreation path than a 2.7RS. I've been drawn to something air-cooled for a long time. I'll have to take the plunge eventually.

I'd love to see some pics of members 2.7RS or 954RS recreations.

Maltese Falcon and 2.7 RS in same thread - 2 very nice things I will never own.

Regarding the car for the plate - I keep looking (for the last 24 months that is ....) at some of the 2.7 RS, 2.8 RSR and ST recreations on mobile.de (just put Erstzuslassung before 1975 and hp >200) - some of them look great, just don't have the money to buy one ...

one aspect I thought might be quite important for future enjoyment (and probably sellability if need be) is the eligibility for Oldtimer Events (so car Needs to be an accurate period recreation I guess) - I have no idea about it, but am sure somebody knowledable on here or one of the Shops doing PPI etc could help
