1972 VW Bug..... With a twist!
Discussion
Hi all, so this is the toy.
The Daily is a 208 GTi.
This however, is for those weekends when the sun is shining and you don't need to go anywhere particularly fast.
It is a 1972 VW Beetle, with the MK2 GP Beach Buggy kit. It is based on the beetle chassis, which is cut and shortened and welded back together.
This has the 1600 engine but has been bored out to 1900cc. It is not fast, but it doesn't need to be. This is for crusing around when the suns out.
Anyway, you wouldn't want to go too fast in it anyway as the front end tends to feel very light the faster you go!
I'll let the pictures do the talking.

And at my wedding with her sisters!

Oh My!!
Started to build one of these about 30 years ago but failed badly, I soooo want one still. Just out of interest how much would a half decent go for these days?
It depends really..... This one is basic.... most of them are, but you can pay up to £10k for a really good one!

I don't mind going to around 5k, but 10? For that I would want a 911 lump in the back!
