I have decided to move on to pastures more practical than a 997 GT3 so I am selling it and buying a BMW M2!
Porsche ownership has truly been a delight and I honestly feel that I will never own or drive a car more infused with feeling and character than my GT3, its a truly wondrous sports car (as are most Porsches) but its time to move on (down?) to something more useful to ferry more than one passenger and luggage.
Met some great characters on and off this forum and I am extremely sad to leave the world of Porsche but......family comes first!
Goodbye and good luck to you all.....I may be back one day......hopefully not in a Panamera

I didn't think I would ever see the day Kul, knowing your love for that car. Still remember comparing our two cars GT3 and RS on one of the Alps tours and just loving them. You'll be back I am certain, even with the temptation you obviously see in the M2. That should be quite a laugh though. Keep the wit coming though Kul whatever we drive.

I know I will regret it Andy but the GT3 is just not practical enough for me anymore, I need rear seats

I remember comparing our cars, what did we say again? Your GT3 RS is like mine but the filthy glamour model version wearing bright lipstick and fishnet stockings

"Bloody Hell Kul" The last person who I thought would sell their GT3. I'm sure you know what your doing and have your reasons. We all had a blast on tour, Molly and I enjoyed your company. There will be other tours in the future. Fancy Scotland in September?
I know mate, I love that car so much but family comes first. I will be back in a 911 of some sort in the future I am certain of it. I would love to do Scotland but i'm not sure when I will get my car so I can't commit
Here is a (rather grainy) pic of me following you two noisy boys on tour
IS that you Rob behind Pete? Good times, great memories Phooey said:
Oh bugger. You're realllllly going to regret selling the GT3 mate. All the best anyways
I regret it already buddy! Buying a BMW M2 means my YouTube subscriptions will change from Petrolicious arty movies of classic 911's to street drag race video clips of 'rude boys' who wear baseball caps backwards

no plans for just a little poverty pork?
I thought about that, something like a nice tweaked 3.4 996 with Bilsteins or even a more modern 997 3.8 but the problem is I will be comparing any 911 I buy to the GT3 and I will get annoyed it won't feel the same.It has to be a complete change of marque and as it will be my main car the reliability has to be high. The M2 seemed to fit the bill nicely and the reviews have been quite favourable so far...... plus it has ISOFIX fittings in the back!
