Hi, quick question. Do these cars often have several owners in a short space of time like other super cars?

Looking at a late 2013 car and it's had 3 owners and wasnt sure if this was above normal.

Thanks

Quite possibly. My 2012 V12V had 4 owners and was sold as an Assured AM car each time. Each service was done at different dealers. But it is in absolutely perfect condition. No chips, no polishing marks, no scuffs in the leather, alloys perfect. I would consider the condition of the car far above the number of owners.

Mines an ex AM owned press car for first 12 months of it's life (14k miles), then owned by a 22 year old in London for 8 months (less than 1k miles), now onto me.
5 months ownership & 2k miles done. smile... I don't plan on selling it anytime soon!

I agree with the general consensus here. My V12V had four previous owners for a 2011 car. It's in excellent condition though and the AM dealer has known the last three owners. My R8 before that had 5 previous owners for a 2009 car and had only done 15k miles. That was in pristine condition.

With high end cars like this people tend to change them often. They enjoy them for a year and then move onto the next one. I suffer from the same problem! Hopefully this V12V will be my long term investment car...

The most important thing OP, is what is the history of the car like? Does the AM dealer know the previous owners? That can give you a lot more confidence. Good luck! smile

Only 2k miles in 5 months?? northermedia: I'd return your car if I were you and give a "proper" AM fan the chance of buying it...Haha biggrin

Thanks guys, that all sounds ok then.

On another note, did anyone get any AM freebies when you bought the car?!

Leather key pouch, Aston teddy bear, Lamy pen, Aston Martin magazine (£25 an issue?!) and discounted future service. Plus they were able to provide accessories for me at 10% above cost price, e.g. car cover. Don't forget the free tea/coffee and biscuits: I think I had about three cups worth. biggrin

I'd already agreed to buy the car though before I realised I could've haggled some free stuff - I blame the car for being so good!

I know other people have got Gaydon tours included but it seems to be a case of no price negotiation so freebies is where it's at. Hopefully you'll be posting up photos of your soon-to-be-bought V12VS very soon... wink
