New Winch Needed

Anyone used them before?

Been using a cheap Mantec one for the past couple of years and it's not looking too clever at the minute.

I'm also unsure whether it would be worth the extra £200 for the synthetic rope version over the steel one.

Synthetic vs Wire... Well, it depends what you want to use it for as there are pros & cons to both.

Be using it for off-roading mainly,

You get much more value for money, and performance with a TDS goldfish

you can get a 9500lb winch with dyneema for less than that Warn:

These TDs winches are used in competition in "winch challenges" where the winch will be used frequently, occassionally continuously, and often in areas of risk to vehicle and competitors.

They aren't a twin drum 8274, but they are good!
