Service history? Bought as seen? Engine situ?
I just couldnt buy a cerb without seeing it unless it was so damn cheap eg £3K !?

sounds good but who would buy a car if u never had a drive of it
Erm, guilty! Bought the Battle Barge (my Rover) off Ebay completely unseen. Only needed a new clutch, gearbox, 1 new tyre, 1 valve on another tyre, bit of bodywork, leak in PAS system tracking down, all fluids topping up from the "minimum" level they were on, couple hose to the radiator attaching properly, washer jets fixing, headlight bulbs replacing, and all the wheels balancing. Not bad considering it was sold as being in "mint condition".
Good job I didn't care about spending a couple of hundred quid and a couple of weekends on fixing it up if it meant having a 300BHP Rover that looks like some diesel powered tractor that lumbers grandpa around.

That would have been nice. Didn't even make it out of the motorway service station car park(!) I picked it up from before coolant was pouring out. That's the dodgily connected bit of hose from the list above.

i`ve bought 2 Alfas, a Corolla and a Clio16v , all off EBay, without seeing them in the flesh and all at least as good as I expected.
You always have the option of walking away if the item doesen`t stand up to scrutiny, although I guess I may not have bought the Cerb this way.
