I was listening to the prices thinking that cars in the US are relatively cheap....then saw it was a 2011 episode. Id guess they'd all be worth considerably more today.

Yes- some of the episodes are indeed old and not indicative of current prices......
Although in this episode I thought it was slightly silly that at the auction the presenter Wayne
kept saying 'the cars aren't worth it'.....an auction is usually a fairly good indication of market rate!

Auctions can be the worst place to buy a car as every one gets caught up in the moment and the end up pushing prices higher... this then is used as a measure for the punter selling his classic privately.
