996 911 C2 - Coolant in Water
Discussion
Hi all,
Car is a 2003 996 911 C2 manual and it's done 88K miles. After cleaning the car this afternoon I happened to open the oil filler cap and noticed a thick creamy substance around the edge of the tube running a couple of inches into the tube from the cap - I believe this means there's coolant mixing with the oil.
The car is running perfectly and hasn't used any coolant (or oil for that matter) - I checked and this is to the max line on the header tank with the engine cold. Also there is no oil in the coolant. There is no evidence of creamy substance when I checked the dipstick - it's only present in the tube to the oil filler cap. Finally the car has been stood for just over two weeks whilst I've been away - I've been using it from Tuesday of this week onwards.
I wondered if the sludge could just be because the car has stood for a couple of weeks (outside) in the cold?
Any advise / information would be appreciated.
Cheers
