Rent yourself a Landy down in SA, point it North and enjoy the changing scenery... Zambia, Kenya, Sudan, etc. You'll be North of the equator before you know it... Sounds like a good holiday to me.

hi js im off to luxor on a nial crooze,then shalm for a weeks diving,around the 10th to 27th of march to celebrate my birthday on the 17th(and my car being on PH calinder that month),
how long are you in luxor for ,judging by your pfofile i would hazard a guess its work related is it?
maybe you could help me out with things to do ,places to see.

Off from the 7th to 13th of March. Not work related - just a hobby of mine that I'd rather have as a career... I try to get out there a couple of times a year.

If you want, drop me a mail and I can give you a few pointers - for starters, I've got the telephone number of a local egyptologist there that'll do a private tour & show you stuff you just don't get to see on the standard tourist runs. Failing that, if you get the offer of flying out/spending 4 hours on a coach to Abu Simbel then regardless of the cost/time, do it. Amazing feat of engineering to see, especially at dawn.

Man, I can't wait to get back over there...
