I'm heading to europe this summer in my RS6, and wondered what spare parts the collective would take, not including the requisite bits for legality. Will be travelling from Santander via pyrenees to alps and chunnel.

I've been for some extended trips and mine and haven't taken anything - maybe a bit hasty in retrospect!

Only thing that might help is a spare tyre in the correct fitment, as they may be hard to source if you get a puncture somewhere remote,

Gorilla tape. 2-3 rolls.
Hose clamps 1" to 3" Dia
Couple of small lorry straps
TyWraps, big strong ones
Spare alloy with good tyre
Spare blade fuses
Euro recovery with all the bells and whistles.

This is my list of stuff I'm taking in my C5 RS6 when I sail to Bilbao and spend a week driving around the Pyrenees before heading up for the LeMans 24.

Interesting, genuine question, what would lorry straps be useful for? I carry all sorts of stuff (I regard it as insurance) inc a diagnostic tool, but not considered these.

They are great for holding things together, holding things down/up that tywraps aren't strong enough for. Talking maybe dropped exhaust, failed bonnet latch that sort of thing.

I'm talking about small 250kg versions, not the full on 10ton ones you see on trucks so easy enough to fit in the car on a long Euro drive.

The last time I had an exhaust fall off it was a Sunbeam Alpine. (I wish I hadn't typed that now)

Many thanks to all, most of the suggestions are already in place, just the spare wheel/tyre to sort really.
