ford fiesta mk4 ?fuel issues
Discussion
Morning All
First time on here so hopefully I can pick some brains.
my daughters 1.25 zetec fiesta mk4 1998 is having some what I believe to be fuel issues. It started a little while ago when changing up through the gears the throttle would stay open occasionally when under strain eg up hill changing. It also runs lumpy at first cold start with the occasional "hunting" again at cold start. In the last few days it has also developed some serious under power issues especially in lower gears. When the accelerator is pushed hard to the floor in 2nd and 3 rd gear it will accelerate to a certain point then the power drops right off and will not accelerate further until the accelerator is released slightly and reapplied. Travelling along the car has moments of feeling under power and struggling even when not under full load. She has said it has run very low on fuel once or twice I have added some Wynns injector cleaner today.
Has anyone got any advice please.
I have considered ignition coils and ht leads but I still think probably fuel
