50's dodge

Saw a 50's 2 tone green dodge, sat in a car park.

V8 ticking over lumpily, a wisp of blue smoke from the exhaust, looked used, not a garage queen. Who should be walking briskly back to it? Mark Kermode, much respect

Had it years I believe. He's been playing double bass in his rockabilly/skiffle band (The Dodge Brothers ) for 20 odd years. He's been part of that music since and associated 50's Americana since a teenager.

Oh high yeah. Just looked at the bands website, photo of the car in the promo stuff.

I reckon I'd like to see a gig or two.

I was a gigging musician for many years. I used to turn up at gigs in a '63 E Type FHC. In the back it would hold a VOX AC30 amplifier, my Gibson guitar and a small flight case with all the leads.

It drew some amazed looks as I unloaded the stuff from the back. Most people expect a Transit!
