Hi All,
Having re-fitted the drivers side air box, I stupidly forgot to connect the smaller of the two hoses that connect to the bottom. (The larger one is attached with hose/ jubilee clips).
Having returned from a drive, I double checked and now it has disappeared - probably chewed up and spat out during the drive. Can somebody please highlight where this connects to on the engine side and along with approximate length as will obviously need to replace it asap.
Call me stupid etc I don't mind!
Cheers!!

Hi, the pipe goes to a 4 way connector which is under the fuel regulator at the rear of the engine. It connects to each inlet manifold, the carbon canister and then obviously to the air box. You may find that the connector had broken as it's only plastic, especially if your pipe got caught and was pulled off.

Thanks for the reply.
Jeez a little more involved than I was hoping for! Fingers crossed the connector and other parts were not involved also.
So basically the small pipe was a direct line to introduce a little more air into the manifolds? Without it, unfiltered air will be getting into the manifold area and so on?
Cheers

Yes with the pipe missing a small amount of unfiltered air will be entering the manifolds. I think it just helps to draw off some of the vapour from the oil breather.
The pipe is 6mm internal and 11 mm external and if your ordered a 1 meter length then that would be plenty.

Doh!!
Having jacked the car up, crawled around and not found the pipe etc I decided to scrounge around the engine compartment for clues.
The actual pipe had just folded the end down underneath the inside cover and looked in its lace if you know what I mean. I pulled a few to check tightness etc and the pipe was free! Double doh!
All fixed, attached and I can now see the 4 way connection on top of the engine as I read that it was underneath!
Thanks for your help anyways!
Back on the road tomorrow with a smile on my face!

Glad you got it sorted and it turned out to be an easy fix in the end.
