LotusGrill BBQ
Discussion
Not sure if I've seen them on here before, but anyone that likes a BBQ and is looking for a portable easy to use grill that gets up to temperature fast and comes fully apart for easy cleaning should be aware of these.

I own all manner of different kinds of grills and smokers but this thing is perfect for a mid-week supper for two. Uses 200g of charcoal and gets up to temperature fast. Because the charcoal is contained in the pot it means that you don't get any flare ups from dripping fat etc.
Here's the twist though. The version I have is a complete rip-off identical version branded as a 'Florabest' and sold through LIDL. I paid £40 for it but they've never had them in again since. Hoping they get more stock this spring/summer.

I thought the whole point of a bbq was the smoke and (limited) flare ups? Otherwise this seems like a cooker grill that just happens to run on charcoal instead of gas or electricity.
The food still gets the slight charcoal smoke taste you would with a normal well-controlled bbq, which is nice. Flare-ups from fat burning give off an acrid smoke though, luckily this gets round that.I guess all BBQs are just cookers that run on charcoal instead of gas or electricity at a very basic level.
