As the topic states, looking for a good upgrade over standard, for fast road usage. Can anyone comment on what they have or are using at present?

Thanks smile

General view is stick with the Ford discs and change the pads.

Or buy some K Sports.

Agreed, stick with standard disks and uprate your pads.

So the likes of discs by EBC are not considered to be an improvement?

Nope.

All the advice seems to be Ford discs and either Ford, Motorcraft (there is a difference!) or EBC blue pads.

I've put braided lines on, but they continue to haul up the car well on standard Ford components.

As for the pads it'll be DS2500's, used many times with good results smile

It'd be interesting to know why the likes of the EBC discs, or any other brands don't perform over OEM

Project mu pads. Will tear your face off, and empty your wallet

...but eat through discs and require substantial heat to have them function correctly?
