Turbo Gauge

Looking to buy a Turbo Gauge for my rebuild. Two questions.
1. What size are the gauges for the Chim dash, eg 55mm ?
2. Is the gauge mechanical. If not what gauge do I need.
Got a Cerbera duel gauge to put in place to cover oil and water, which is all to be plumbed in.

From memory they are 52mm, and you can buy a matching Caerbont one if you so desire, from the usual place, the ironically named Speedy Cables, from Wales, where men are men, sheep are nervous, and 0-60 times are judged by sundial

A 52mm gauge falls straight through the holes on my '94 - even the rim of my 52mm AEM AFR gauge which is supposed to clamp the dash panel fits through ... I think the early dashes had 60 or 62mm gauges.

I did find some adapter rings at one point but decided to build a new dash rather than blast adapter rings all over the thing.

Hi Peter
Engine is built,(ACR 4.8Ltr) gearbox has been reconditioned with the stronger 5th gear, McLeod twin plate clutch and flywheel has been lightened and balanced and 10mm been taken off the clutch release to enable fitting. Also going to fit an oil cooler and remote filter at the same time. So all ready to put in the car, just waiting for room at the workshop to drop it in. Going to replace the outriggers at the same time.
Hopefully will be done by the end of April
Depending upon that it will then need running in properly and the put on the roller and re-mapped.

So it will be the 52mm later gauges then. I am sure I have seen an image of a turbo boost gauge in the standard style on Faceache or Pistoffheads recently. Call to Speedy Cables should give you the answer to both questions.

Yes it does for both oil and water, however the chap who is completing the installation is going to plum it all in. I 'just' have to remove the dash top.

10mm flexible-ended ratchet ring spanner and small hands are your friends.

I'm using a AEM Tru-boost gauge/controller in one, I can adjust boost on the fly with one button and it's a nice gauge
