I changing the tyres on my tamora but don't know which ones to pick
1. Michelin cup 2
2. Toyo r1s
3 Toyo r888 (but I've been talked out of them as to track focused)
Tyre size at the moment are F 225 x35x18
R 235 x40 x18
But might go up a size
F 235
R 245
Any info what you use and recommend would be nice to know

Try Uniroyal Rainsport 3s from Camskill. A hugely underestimated tyre!!

I have Toyo R1Rs, love them just bought my second set.

225x40x18 on the front
265x35x18 on the rear - for normal S6 engine 255 would be adiquate, the 265 do rub a little but the additional rubber is welcome on my car.

Great in the dry (once up-to temp) and good in the wet.

CamSkil have them in stock

Toyo R1R - great tyres which I can recommend. Maybe (just) a bit tricky in wet conditions but really good for dry use. Quite low load index, soft surface.
255/35-18 rubbed the inner arches on my Tamora even after lifting up dampers on the back.

Evening

I have Toyo R1R on my T350c and not completely sure I like the look or feel.

They have done 500 miles so if anyone wants some shout as I feel I may go back to original F1 route

Unless you are only focused on warm weather and track driving. For that your original set of options would be good.

Traction on cold spring / crisp winter days will be well outside the ideal temperature range of R1R/888/Sport Cup 2. You can drive them, but they will give you less grip than a regular tyre. Extravagant option is 2 sets of wheels and with different tyres depending on weather. I have done that with previous cars, but the TVR doesn't get enough winter use to warrant it.

The Toyo T1 Sports on mine, which are still summer tyres but less track oriented, caught me out last weekend. At a temperature of ~ 3C on a dry road I found the car had less traction than expected but, to quote the eminent motoring journalist Troy Queef, "I simply catch it with a dab of oppo and I’m away."

So, summer driving - that list are good. Winter / Spring driving, they are more compromised than 'regular' summer / sports tyres which are still quite grippy. such as Goodyear Eagle F1, Toyo T1 Sport, Continental Sport Contact, Bridgestone Potenza, Uniroyal Rainsport, Michelin Supersport (which are supposed to be very capable).

Yes very good in the dry, not so good in the wet, got caught in heavy rain once and it was "fun"

Good choice.

You can always put the 888s on a second set of wheels...

There's a replacement for the 888's, r888r's supposedly a bit more road friendly.
But still not much use in winter, I have some on order.

Do you need to make any adjustment anywhere fitting larger 245 on the rear with 18 spiders?

I'm having nitrons adjustable suspension fitted so hopefully there should be no problems with the wider tyres

I gave that a go on the rear, and ended up having to switch back down a size due to arch fouling on full bump. Its the tyre shoulder to watch out for.
