This could be nice

But typical lazy PH ad. A few hours preparation and some better quality pictures in nice setting would have added value. However quite a good price for such a late 993 and that mileage.

I wouldnt worry about the advert quality. I'd virtually buy a car from Adrian Crawford unseen ...... he knows his old school Porsche very well.http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

I've phoned about this one, but it does have a quite large gap in the service history, broken passenger side check strap (you can hear it click on the video when he opens the door), which I thought they might have sorted to be honest. Missing VIL from the service book, it's been hand written in apparently - that maybe fine, but I do like things to be just so for the right purchase. A tad too expensive for me for what it is.One of the very few Porsche specialists that I respect.

Fully understand all of the above.
Porsche have done some strange things over the years. Whilst down at ACs years ago, he showed me a 3.2 (I think) Cab that had two chassis numbers, one very neatly crossed out with another one stamped below, it was obvious it was factory altered. My own 993 which is one of the first batch of twelve RHD imported into the UK has a fully stamped up book complete with the reg date and white sticker that matches with the one under the bonnet ... .... Yet it's a service book for a 964!

I would be very surprised if he'd actually sell it without sorting the door strap out though.

I think fitting of the stickers was actually performed at the Porsche dealerships in the UK, not at time of build. So stickers were supplied with the car and it was down to the dealership to fit them. That's why some of them look a bit wonky under the bonnet, or at least the ones I've seen do. Some are perfectly positioned while others are mis-aligned, depending on the mood of the fitter at the time I guess

Couldn't he open the engine lid for the video? Is the rear spoiler broken? Colour mismatch on the scuttle is obvious from orbit.
I always fall over with hysterical laughter when a car salesman calls a car 'clean'. Seven times in as many sentences as well.

Odd that the ad describes it as a 272 BHP car, and yet in the video walkthrough he calls it a varioram.

I noticed the varioram mistake as well. He seemed a bit nervous perhaps and I agree the colour difference is VERY obvious. Also agree re the word clean. It's the worst type of generic car salesman word to use really. They ALL say that. The other word often used is "straight". So I suppose when one rejects a car it's dirty and bent?
