Panamera Turbo

I'm thinking about changing my Panamera diesel for a Turbo. Thing is the car I have found has Yachting Blue interior.
It's very marmite but I am kind of tempted because it is a bit different.
Am I mad? Will I have a nightmare trying to sell it on?
Also I have the option of alloys - 20" Spider or 21" Turbo II's. Does one wheel handle better than the other?

21" isn't an approved wheel size for a Panamera;
on my turbo I had both the Turbo 2's and Spyders - absolutely no difference in handling (obviously)
Turbo 2's are easier to kerb IMHO - had them on a KN (in 21" size) and I swear they were made out of chocolate
Personally, I preferred the looks of the Spyders.
As for yachting blue interior - it's always going to be a harder sell than black
would be a little lower in cost though I guess

Not mad IMO. I am in the early phases of PanAm shopping and I am looking for any interior colour EXCEPT black.
Black is rather Audi company car, in a car like this a bit of colour adds to the lux feel. Espresso brown or yachting blue definitely, with the correct exterior colour of course.
These are not ridiculous colours, not exactly at extended can-can red leather level :-)

Use reserved Brits go for very boring interiors! It's funny how the Germans love a brown interior. Personally i like the variety, and as long as the colour doesn't clash, then i'm sure the blue would look nice.
I quite like the brown and tan interior colours too. Certainly far more practical than parchment/biscuit leater which is a PITA to live with if you are a bit of a grubby b
d like me.Blue looks fine to me - quite a pleasant combo.
As for doing what the Germans do... Well I really like the Germans, but I've seen what some of them do with mixing suit jackets and trousers and it is really wrong.
Congrats O/P! I've had my Panamera GTS for coming up to a year (Nov 2012 model) after buying it from a Porsche main dealer. There have been some warranty issues, e.g. new suspension bushes all round ('must have been a bad batch, sir) and the A/C compressor went and a speaker cover also came loose, otherwise it's been a great car. I came out of a E63 AMG twin turbo and the Panamera is a big step up in quality levels than anything like the E63 or M5.
As others have said, nice to see a car with a different colour than the normal black.

Whatever I can afford as the value curves of my 6T and Panameras cross. :-) Prolly not a V6 petrol and cant afford a plug in hybrid, which would be the ideal.
So..Diesel and 4S both make sense but for different reasons, I am keeping my options open for the right spec and price.

on that car - the Turbos look better - more of colour contrast IMHO
I'm all for different - my 4S panamera was yachting blue outside, light beige / blue interior with piano black - very smart.
Turbo was Black on black with lots of carbon ! more darth vader - stunning car too though.
Best interior I've had is on a KN; specced by some Saudi royalty and ran in London for 6 months - virtually no mileage, and specced to the hilt
Had a light beige / Coffee interior. Full electric adaptive post seats and every option box ticked. mega car - did many, many miles in that !
into a more focused interior now in my 991 GT3
enjoy the panamera - I never had one negative comment about mine - in fact the opposite - lost count of how many members of the public would come up to me and talk about it !
