Hi Guys,

Just wondering what the difference is between the two header versions.

Basically I have bought a used Cargraphic 1st gen header (short tube) with HJS cats and I have noticed that the latest version of the header has a long tube design.

Is there a major difference? Why did they change to the long tube design?

Thanks

Jon

More torque on the long tube I think.

But call Jens, he will tell you for sure.

Yep, I'm in touch with Jens about mapping so will see what he says

Just wondering if there are any flow experts about that can shed light on the pros/cons of each setup?

Long generally gives better low end torque. Short more top end power. Also depends on the collector. Are they all 3-1?

Could this Jens map be used on a stock car to release more power? Is it just the throttle body opening to a greater degree with the new software?

Hi,

Yep, they are 3-1, basically the same as the Fabspeed one here.

I won't be too disappointed with a top end gain as opposed to midrange torque although midrange is important though and I'm hoping the mapping can smooth things out a bit.

I actually feel that the top end is where is the 987.2 lacked a bit. I was really pleased with the midrange shove.

These are two popular manifold designs from Fabspeed and Cargraphic.

The fabspeed is a short tube and the Cargraphic a long tube......

There must be arguments for both but why so drastically different?
