Alarm/Imobiliser problems

Hi Chaps, bought a 1995 400hc at the backend of last year as a 75th birthday present to myself
but have only just got around to finding out what I purchased.
It appears that I have the original meta alarm which has been modified by adding a sentinal/toad
immobiliser. This is randomly leaving the left hand indicators on permanently. I have managed to
release the left hand side of the dash (with the mandatory skinned hands) and a quick tap releases
the meta relay. More worryingly I had an incident when the car locked but would not unlock ,luckily
at the time the car was in the garage with the roof off so I was able to get in and jar the alarm until it unlocked.
It is obvious that I will have to get the car to an alarm specialist but am worried I could get locked out.
I live in North Lincolnshire so a trip to Kent or France to get this fixed is impractical. Can anyone
recommend a specialist closer to home? In addition what are my options if I get locked out with the roof up. Is there a technique for getting back in? Please PM me

The indicator on permanently is what I had when my alarm was failing.
Any good car alarm place should be able to replace the entire system.
No idea where, as mine was done by Carl Baker.
Might be worth a word with Nick at Str8Six at Newark. Not easy to get to by phone these days since he became Str8Six. I will try to remember to pop down there tomorrow morning after I gave dumped the grandkids at the local primary penitentiary.
I'll also ask Mat Smith TVR at Downham Market, Norfolk for you. He might know someone nearer than Kent.

RT Racing in Sheffield are a well thought of TVR centre. Their website mentions that they are approved Toad and Thatcham installers. They may well be your nearest, and for servicing.

Thanks for the responses Cog . I'll remove F6 and F7 to disengage the alarm indicators.
I see on a previous thread on the same subject you provided instructions on how to bypass
the immobiliser, I wonder if you would kindly PM them to me also. Many thanks.
Qbee I have bookmarked Mat Smith at Downham Market having seen him recommended in previous
threads and besides I enjoy the fen roads from Horncastle south.
