Hi all, can anymore help point me in the right direction for the rubber seal around the top of the windscreen. I've tried TVR parts but they are out of stock so if anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated, cheers all.

Powers should be able to help. Talk to Andy, very helpful chap, if he doesn't have it he can probably point you in the right direction.

Some of us think the car looks better without the rubber strip, with the glass flush with the roof.

Thanks for the link, I completely removed all the screen rubbers (front and back) last night and I think I might go down the route of just sealing. The gap above windscreen is wider than the others, has anyone sealed that one and not bothered with the rubber? What sealer would you recommend, I used Tiger seal for the rear lenses and that worked well, could I use that for th screens? Any pics would be great, cheers all.

I've thought the same thing. I'm going to dry fit the screen first to see what the tolerance around the aperture is. If it's minimal and uniform then I may dispense with the rubbers, especially as I've seen a few cars where the rubber seems to have kinked slightly - I'm guessing there's a trick like soaking it in hot water prior to fitting?

Anyway, first things first, I have to sort a screen out! laugh

Backfilling works, especially if you can get the finish right (and not just running your wet finger along it!).

Exposing PUR to the sun will break it down and the adhesion will begin to fail over time. There are UV resistant urethane on the market which will outlast any Tigerseal type product in this application.
