CX bike for commuting

Well I say CX bike but what I am after is a decent commuter I have a big commute so not looking for an upright hybrid. Was thinking CX bike as it'll have disc brakes and the clearance for bigger tyres.
I like the look of this

Ill be running through C2W scheme so £1000 tops really. Also needs to be Halford vouchered or something Halfords can order in.

I love my Pinnacle for commuting/winter riding, hydraulic ultegra brakes, carbon fork, 105 11 speed with proper mounts. Has taken numerous abuse and competed a couple of CX races and been absolutely fine.

To give you my honest opinion, don't get a cross bike for your commute. I hate mine with a passion. Its not good at anything. I've been using my single speed this week and its so much more enjoyable.
They are slow, unresponsive, weird upright position, heavy, brakes are crap unless you spend loads. Going to sell mine and replace with another winter bike, something like the ribble winter trainer. Cross bikes are crap. A compromise at everything they do.

I bought a Planet X SLX CX bike for commuting and the cable routing meant you couldn't fit a rack or mud guards. The later was very annoying. Disc brakes and 28mm tyes worked well though 
Have a look at some of the genuine commuter specific bikes. Pinnacle do some good ones along with Specialized. If you are buying from Halfords, they can order other manufacturers.

Just bought a CX bike to replace my Hardtail and I love it. It is full carbon and hydraulic though so it's very quick and stops well it goes over rutted s
tty commuter roads so much butter than a road bike. No eyelets for a rack but you can get clamping systems - Thule do one. However Evans do a really nice Fuji model for £899.00 that can accommodate racks and guards in sick green that a guy in our cycling club uses and it's a really good commuting machine.

For example my last Brompton was from LBS which are part of their scheme. Just google it.
However the Boardman is better than most stuff out there for the money . I paid under £600 cash for last years CX Team in end of season sale there..
