Just popped up and appears to be going mad

Visited our local asda late last night too pick up some fresh fruit for Paddy's smoothies, he grabbed some grapes and some oranges, we got home and he went to the kitchen to make his smoothies, my 18mnth little girl was stood waiting for some grapes so i asked Paddy too check the centres when he cut them as i had seen a post shared on Facebook about Asda's grapes containing maggots so just thought it was best to be safe! He sliced the first grape and surprise surprise we found a little maggot!!! We took it back too the store and the manager was kind enough to give us a refund plus an extra £5 gift card! But threw the maggot and grape away there and then in front of me! Normally I would have been happy with the gift card but considering my daughter could have eaten that grape if we had not checked it properly I needed too know that this was being taken further so this morning I have been trying to contact Asda HR department and have got nowhere! It just says they cannot take my call! So here is my warning too all my friends and family please be aware if you have bought grapes from Asda in the past week please make sure you check them inside! Im not saying that its every pack of grapes but I'm not the only one to experience this and the other Facebook post that was circulating was about grapes from a different Asda store! Hopefully the issue gets resolved soon, but I for sure wont be buying fruit from Asda anymore!
Seriously woman what do you want?

1 grape in a punnet has a maggot in it, its fresh produce this will happen, do you want them to recall all the grapes sold in the last week, take all the grapes off the shelf and check each one?

Does she not think this could happen anywhere, from any shop given most will use the same suppliers? obviously flies prefer asda branded crimson grapes from south Africa!

And expect that by mentioning it of Faceache it will resolve the issue more satisfactorily.

I'd advise her to cut all her baked beans in half from now on just in case one has a fart in it.

It's a HU to her friends, how to get a free £5 Asda voucher - simples!

There was a maggot there but it's escaped.

Wait. You mean all the fresh produce I've bought in the past that had maggots in could have earned me £5?? fk. I have to get with the times.

There really is a new breed of person. The sort of person who posts selfies, whinges about the slightest thing on Facebook, complains for compensation. WTF is going on?

She had a protein grape, what is she complaining about? The fitness industry would charge £6 per grape for one of those!!

Sometimes there are caterpillars in the Broccoli. Sometimes there are little slugs in the outer leaves of the cabbages. Amazingly enough everything is simply covered in bacteria.

Wash before use.

Some people really are thick.

The fact that this someone would "normally" be happy to receive a £5 Asda gift card tells me everything I need to know.
