Hi all .i allways read this forum.Got to say I can read it but useless with spanners I bought a Jensen Healey that need restoring .Have a couple of friends who help me.The reason I bought the tvr was to run around in it then deside which car to keep .Now having done the outriggers .New fuel pipes from the tanks pained chassis .valley gasket we got the car running tonight .Now the exhaust manifold needs a repair..I am looking forewArd to driving the car again.Only driven it home from Oxford .It wAs not cared for . now it's getting the care it deserves .So I will keep reading .Got a thing about lotus and tvr .But I really admire Ollie winter bottoms work....Thnks All.Mike s1 350i

I have owned both Tvr and jensen healeys .i should of kept my old 350i s2 .sods law .it was well looked after .Unlike my car now .But it will live to fight another day .I think that's why I have allways admired tvr .Origional hand built cars .Got to be British built for me .Dix your car looks fantastic .Mine is a bit scruffy .But I still love it after being covered in red oxide by bond primer .dinatroll .rust oleum grey .Also getting covered in petrol helping to do fuel pipes etc.Mrs B was not happy .At least she knows where I am .covered in crap under the car....lol Mike

When I was 18 I had a Spitfire Mk3 (when they were just old knackers you could buy for £50 - or swap for a Mini, as I did)... it needed some part or other so I went to the local scrappy and the gyp... er, bloke who ran the place offered me a straight swap for a Jensen Healey that had just been scrapped because the owner couldn't get it to start... it was still on a towrope attached to the back of his Landrover. I had a word with my old man who said "Lotus engine, run away" so I did.
If only I knew then what I know now, eh rolleyes

Ian small world .I had a Mjk 3 spitfire as my fiirst car .Followed by a rusty Jensen Healey....I must admit to a lineing for fibreglass cars....Mike
