I've got an e46 shed project that I'd like to turn into a track slag. What the best solution for insurance, where it's likely to do less than 1500 road miles a year and be sorned some of the time?

Cheap, as the car is worth less than £500 and it's purely to cover road use getting to and from tracks.

Probably not a lot of choice if you are only going to insure it from time to time, as lots of insurers will weight you heavily for that.

By the time you have just taxed it from month to month for 6/7/8 etc months of the year & paid for 6/7/8 months of insurance & they won't allow you to use NCD on it, you may well be better off to bite the bullet & insure it for the full year & in doing that some companies will now "mirror" your NCD onto the second car.

Try MORIS, A-Plan, Competition Car Insurance, Adrian Flux and others by googling "track day car insurance".

As with ANYTHING these days google is your friend.
