Using up dried dates and apricots

I've just tidied out a cupboard and found numerous packets of dried dates, and apricots. Has anyone got any ideas what i can do with them, thinking a chutney might be a decent idea?

There's only one use for dried dates and apricots............a bad ass sticky toffee pudding!
