Nutmeg - Robot Investing

Has anyone used Nutmeg/Betterment etc? Supposedly uses algorithms to optimise investments based on risk profile - in theory a cheap way of investing in an 'ideal' portfolio for you. As they cant predict the future Im a little sceptical that it will do anything better than a well diversified portfolio you can select yourself, but anyone got any experience, good or bad, with them?
