Hello people just joined today and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a 5 stud hub conversion kit for my 97 chimaera.I'm looking to do conversion myself and get some secondhand 18"spiders.I've spoken to Blackpool and there not sure whats happening at the mo,so wondered if someone out there has done a diy job or brought the bits needed from somewhere.Please help,thanks.
Factory is the way to go. The waiting list is quite long though, I think I was the last to get the kit and that was November last year. The hubs are specials. Nobody makes them, Ford and TVR combine parts to make these and there a problem getting Ford to supply. There's no easy answer, Ford 5 studs don't fit. Perhaps you could acquire a set of 4 stud hubs and split the stud plate from the hub. Then you could drill the hub to take a five stud plate. That's what TVR do.
The thing is TVR do this kit at a (theoretical) loss. It's very difficult to do it cheaper.
