Getting a bit of trim around the New Forest...

No ... not looking for dogging sites (not that I have a dog that needs walking) ...
... just remembered that my dear old lady still has her stuffing hanging out of the door cards and rear hood trim thing from where my exes cat got in and did its worst. (The evil little b*st*rd - both the cat and the ex.
)
Haven't seen her in so long I'd forgotten but suddenly the thought of driving around with the vinyl on the door trims looking like they've been in a slasher movie makes me feel a bit sick ... I could buy the premade vinyl door trim off ebay but they're only in black and my trim is blue.
So - does anyone know of any trimmers in the New Forest / Bournemouth / Southampton / Portsmouth / Winchester / Petersfield / Guildford / A3 / M3 area?
(Not even sure of what to Google for - apparently Googling for "Trim" brings up lots of entries but nothing appropriate. )

I tried wessex the other day for a quote on a new roof and then some carpets. Guy was really nice but point blankly refused to talk money as he would "never work on one of those again". Apparently he hasnt enjoyed his previous tvr experiences. Im going to be phoning a couple of other places tomorow to see if they will quote (i'm based in chandlers ford)
Lets see what comes up ... so far I've emailed three different trimmers (simply asking whether they'd be interested in taking a look at doing some recovering of the door trims and rear hood trim in the short term with a view to a full interior retrim in the longer term) in the New Forest / Southampton area and the silence has been deafening.

Wessex and Kevin Baggs are fairly small concerns....I'd say that K.Baggs has only 3 staff....Anytime I've been in there all 3 are working 'full-on'. I think Wessex is just a bloke on his own.
Guess what I'm saying is that it might be better to take the car to them in order for them to see what's involved. Unfortunately, it's a fact of life that in order to keep overheads down, the smaller concerns don't employ an office administrator, so internet enquiries aren't responded to.

I'm afraid that I don't agree with you there - just turning up with a car and expecting them to drop tools to come out and have a look and talk to you without prior arrangement is just bad manners as far as I'm concerned as they could be on a desperate job and have a deadline that they're up against and you're just randomly dragging them away from work.
Plus if there is a contact email address or contact page on their website then it *SHOULD* be responded to in a reasonable timescale, after all, it is a business.
I'd expect no more than 48 hours for a non-specific "Are you interested in taking a look at the job?" query given that it needs nothing more than a yes or no. That should give more than enough time for anyone - even a one man band - to respond. If they don't respond in that time then I'd suggest that they're either too busy to be taking on new work or aren't interested or are otherwise tied up.
If I don't hear anything by Thursday then I'll follow up with a phonecall...
