Little things that make a big difference.
Discussion
Following on from another thread, what little things do you do that make a proportionately bigger difference to everyday life for yourself or others?
Mine include warming plates, towels and socks before use, cooling wine beer and some spirits before drinking, ironing newspapers before reading, warming up the car before setting off.

Are you my butler? Mine include warming plates, towels and socks before use, cooling wine beer and some spirits before drinking, ironing newspapers before reading, warming up the car before setting off.

On a serious note, why would you warm up a car before setting off? It takes longer to get it (and you) warm and its worse for the car. I can't see any benefits at all (unless you have a pre-heat system)

Two reasons: 1. I like getting into a nice warm car on a frosty morning so I start it up 10 minutes before I leave home.2. I've got a very nice section of twisty road the first few miles away from my house which I like to play on. I don't like to redline the car from cold but I don't want to waste any of the twisty bits.
